| Former COP and NNP Candidate Bedeau |
Magistrate Tamera Gill Ferguson, who is charged with the responsibility of adjudicating on the matter, had Mr. Bedeau called to the Court room but did not get into the business of the day because none of the lawyers representing either parties was present in Court.
Magistrate Gill wasted no time in having the matter adjourned to the 29th of July.
Prior to taking the adjournment the Magistrate informed the Court that Bedeau’s lawyer Derrick Sylvester, requested full disclosure from the prosecution, while the complainant’s lawyer, Anselm Clouden, was attending matters in the Court of Appeal.
Bedeau was accused of assaulting a female secondary school student Kemlee Alexander.
Alexander told members of the media that the former COP called her a ‘Hungry mouth dirty foot Vagrant’ and pushed her twice after having over-heard a conversation between herself and another young lady.
Bedeau has since denied those allegations.
The prosecution is expected to call some seven witnesses to prove their case against the former COP
